As the hashtag “What’s wrong with India” gained traction on Elon Musk’s social media platform X, the Israeli embassy in India jumped on the viral trend, adding a unique twist to the trend.
In a lighthearted video shared online, Israeli Ambassador to India Naor Gilon and other diplomats playfully responded to the question, “What’s wrong with India?” in a manner that brought a positive spin to the viral trend.
The video starts with the same question posed to Ambassador Gilon, who quipped, “You soft-landed on the Moon. We crashed,” referring to India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission. The video shows Israeli embassy staff answering question that celebrates India’s culture, cuisine, and world-famed Bollywood movies that highlight the positive aspects of India.

However, the video took a cheeky turn towards the end when one diplomat jokingly pointed to pictures of former Big Boss participant and media sensation Rakhi Sawant, suggesting her as the “problem.” The one-minute clip ends with a message saying, “Everything’s good about India.”
The trending hashtag originated amid orchestrated attempts to portray India negatively following the gang rape of a Spanish tourist in Jharkhand, which the government condemned and responded to promptly by arresting the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, Indian users, in response to the viral trend, have been highlighting the nation’s progress and achievements across various sectors, with a tinge of sarcasm. They shared snapshots of news reports showcasing the country’s accomplishments, including the eradication of extreme poverty and the successful moon landing.
