New Delhi, India
Rahul-Priyanka Gandhi Sena members display placards as they arrive to attend INDIA bloc's Loktantra Bachao rally.
In a show of strength, opposition unit INDIA bloc’s leaders are expected to reach Delhi to take part in AAP’s “Loktantra bachao” rally, which is organised to protest the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with a money laundering case.
The INDIA bloc leaders are calling Kejriwal’s arrest BJP’s attempt to crush the opposition voice by missing government agencies like ED.
Among some of the top INDIA bloc leaders to attend the rally are Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Samajwadi Party Supremo Akhilesh Yadav and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav.
Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal will also attend the INDIA bloc rally at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday and read out a message from her husband from jail.
Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai, who visited the Ramlila Maidan to inspect the preparations, claimed that Congress leader Sonia Gandhi will also attend the rally.

The Congress said the rally by the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) will send a “strong message” to the Lok Kalyan Marg, where the prime minister’s residence is located, that the BJP-led government’s “time is up”.
Addressing a press conference on the rally, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said Saturday party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi will address the rally, among other senior leaders.
“It is not a person-specific rally,” he, however, added. “That is why it is called Loktantra Bachao rally. This is not one party’s rally, about 27-28 parties are involved in it. All constituents of the INDIA ‘janbandhan’ will be taking part in the rally,” he said
Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed in strength in central Delhi ahead of a rally by INDIA bloc leaders at the Ramlila Maidan here on Sunday, officials said.
The Delhi Police has allowed the rally with certain conditions, including no march, no tractor trollies, and no weapons.
