Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic won the 71st edition of the Miss World 2024 pageant, which returned to India after a 28-year gap. The highly anticipated grand finale unfolded in Mumbai at the Jio World Convention Centre.
Sini Shetty, the winner of Femina Miss India 2022, was representing India on this global stage. Shetty bowed out of the contest after a top-eight finish in the competition, which featured 112 contenders from around the world.
Before Pyszková was announced as the winner, Yasmin Azaytoun of Lebanon, Aché Abrahams of Trinidad & Tobago, and Lesego Chombo of Botswana, made it to the top four. They had to make a pitch to Shark Tank judges who made a special appearance during the event.
During the event, Nita Mukesh Ambani, chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation, was honored with the Miss World humanitarian award for her charitable work. She was presented the award by Julia Morley CBE, the Chairwoman of the Miss World Organisation. Priyanka Chopra Jonas also delivered a video message during the award ceremony.
Miss India Sini Shetty bowed out of the contest after a top-eight finish in the competition, which features 112 contenders vying for the coveted title.

Miss World contestant from Vietnam was announced as the Multi-Media Challenge.
Croatia won the Miss World 2024 Sports Challenge.
The Martinique candidate won the Top Model Competition at the 71st Miss World Festival.
Brazil won the Beauty with a Purpose continental award.
Among the contestants, Sini, a 22-year-old Mumbai native with roots in Karnataka, stands as India’s hopeful. A trained dancer, Shetty attained her Arangetram in Bharatanatyam at a tender age, under the tutelage of the esteemed classical dancer Radhakrishnan Padmini.
Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui, and other celebrities were spotted on the red carpet of the pageant.

This star-studded event has filmmaker Karan Johar and Miss World 2013 Megan Young co-hosting, along with performances by singer Neha Kakkar, her brother Tony Kakkar and Shaan. Adding to the glamour, Polish model Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World 2021, is gracing the occasion.
A distinguished panel of judges, comprising film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, journalist Rajat Sharma, and actress-social worker Amruta Fadnavis, among others, will play a pivotal role in selecting the next global ambassador of beauty.
This year, the Miss World Organisation stresses the significance of the event, underlining its role in celebrating not just beauty, but also a purpose. As the world awaits the crowning of the next Miss World, the anticipation and excitement surrounding this grand return to India after nearly three decades are palpable.
Competitions at the Miss World pageant include the World Top Designer Award, Miss World Top Model, Miss World Sports Challenge, Miss World Talent Final, Multi-Media Challenge, and Head To Head Challenge Final. The Continental Beauty With A Purpose Challenge and the grand Miss World Red Carpet Special will add glamour to this extraordinary event.
